Day of a (part time) freelance writer

A good friend of mine (but long time no see) asked me about how I could manage my time between full day job, taking care of the housework and my little daughter, and freelancing on the side. (she read my interview story on Campus Life Magazine)

Well, everybody has her own situation. And the advantage of mine is the fact that I don't live in Jakarta. I don't have to waste my time on the road.

It took me about 5-10 minutes riding in the morning to drop Mira to her preschool and arrive at the office. Lunch at home? Almost every workday. I only skip it whenever office is too busy that force me to skip my lunch hour. I leave the office at about 5.30 pm, and arrive at home at 5.35 pm. Nice huh? :D

The next couple hours are Mira's time until she sleeps at 8 or 9 PM. If I'm still not sleepy, I start to write for about 1-2 hours. Then I sleep, and get up at 3 or 4 AM to continue writing until Mira wakes up.

That's all. Quite simple?

I love and enjoy writing. It makes freelance writing is fun (except you have a tight deadline :P), although I need to cut my sleeping hours.
